Our client is one of the UK’s major media groups and currently is looking for a newly qualified or 1-2 years post qualified accountant. Due to an internal promotion they now seek a commercially aware and forward focused person to take a prominent role within the Management Team. You will have direct responsibility for several part qualified studiers and will help mentor them through their studies. Other duties include cross company analysis and reporting, review of Balance Sheets and trends and providing supporting commentary to Senior Management. In addition you will assist with the restructuring of the business and it’s re forecasting, collection and interpretation of information from various internal business’ centres and make recommendations on new finance reporting procedures. You will need to be able to deal with all levels of staff up to senior management and be confident in making recommendations based on sound commercial judgements to proactively challenge and drive the business forward. Previous staff supervision is not essential, although a formal accountancy qualification is.
